1. What does cold pressed mean?
2. What are the cold-pressing methods?
3. What is the difference between the Pressed Juice Co Standard cleanse and Summer/Winter cleanse?
Our standard juice cleanse contains juices with ingredients that are available throughout the year whereas our Summer/Winter cleanses contain seasonal fruits and veggies. The seasonal cleanses also contain an additional ‘booster shooter’ per day. Both cleanses contain the same number of 500ml bottles per day.
4. How much do the Pressed Juice Co cleanses cost?
5. Why do the cleanse juices come frozen?
Because all Pressed Juice Co juices are raw they are highly perishable. In order to prolong the shelf-life, whilst maintaining the nutritional integrity of the juices, we blast freeze them so that they are fresh for you to drink on your cleanse
6. How do I defrost my juices?
Allow your juices to thaw naturally I.e. at room temperature. Do not add any heat to the process by placing in the microwave or in warm/hot water.
7. What is the shelf life of Pressed Juice Co juices, and do they need to remain refrigerated?
Each juice contains live enzymes and is highly perishable. Keep all your juices refrigerated. Fresh, and thawed juices, should be devoured within 3 days – refer to the fridge dates on the bottom of all fresh juices for the date by when they should be consumed.
8. Can I cleanse while at work?
Yes. However, everyones reaction to cleansing is different. While some people feel alert and energized from their cleanse, others feel more lethargic than usual. You may find it easier to stay busy, or prefer to take this time to rest. Listen to your body.
9. Can I workout when I am cleansing?
Yes. It is important to move. Sweating helps to release toxins. Some may find their normal moderate-vigorous workout routine to be a bit much. Lower exertion exercises such as yoga, Pilates, walking, or swimming can be a good choice during a cleanse.
10. I am on a cleanse, and am ready to eat my hand. What should I do?
Drink more water in between juices. Staying hydrated helps to curb your appetite. If you are still starving at the end of the day, we recommend you add an additional nut milk to your daily cleanse regime. If you are highly active, or above average in height, you may require more calories throughout the day and an additional nut milk will help.
11. Can I drink alcohol while cleansing?
12. Should I drink water while I cleanse?
Yes in between each juice and throughout the day.
13. Can I drink coffee during a cleanse?

15. Am I going to be tired during a cleanse?
Everyone is different. Cleansing has its ups and downs. At some point you will probably experience a decrease in energy. The body is going through a transformation and it takes energy to adapt. If you are tired, allow yourself to rest. This is not permanent, your body will acclimate, and it will soon become more energized.
16. How many days should I cleanse?
This is entirely up to you. Ask yourself, "what is it that I want to achieve from doing a cleanse?" This should help you choose a duration. If this answer is to just kick-start your health goals, start small. If you want to create a more radical transformation to your body system, it requires more time and dedication. Start with a number of days that is realistic to your lifestyle, and that you are willing to commit to.
17. How do I prepare for a cleanse?
When you sign up for a cleanse you will receive a detailed info card explaining how to prepare. 1-2 days prior to your start date, begin by drinking lots of water and incorporating 4-5 servings of alkaline foods such as fruits and veggies into your daily diet. Eliminate caffeine and alcohol from your diet. This will minimize the withdrawal effects on your cleanse. Good hydration and reducing processed foods are the best way to prepare your body for a detox.
18. How do I come off of a cleanse?
Your body has experienced a lot of change over the last few days. To make your transition back to solid foods safely, it is important to focus on fruits and vegetables with high water content, such as cucumbers, celery, apples, melons, and berries. Just as you prepared by eliminating caffeine and alcohol from your diet you should not reintroduce these for at least 2 days.
19. What if I have a health condition that requires prescription medication?
Please consult your doctor before starting a cleanse.
20. Will I lose weight during my cleanse?
We do not advocate juice cleansing as a weight loss tool. However, some people experience weight-loss as just one of the many benefits to cleansing. Weight-loss should not be the focus of your cleanse. Focus on resetting your body, alkalizing your system, and breaking old habits.
21. How many calories are in a cleanse?
Cleanses range from 1500-2000 (is this right??) calories per day. Calorie intake should not be the primary focus of your cleanse though. All Pressed Juice Co ingredients are nutrient-rich and full of live enzymes that will support your body’s natural ability to heal.

This is entirely up to you. As often as once a month. Some people find that cleansing seasonally is great to reset their systems. But at the Pressed Juice Co HQ we believe that cleansing once every quarter is optimal.
Pressed Juice Co produces cold pressed juices from natural ingredients that do not contain any preservatives. Our juices may contain bacteria even though we do our utmost to balance the pH level of our juices to manage this. Our juices are produced in a kitchen where nuts are present. While we take steps to minimize the possibility of cross contamination, we can’t guarantee that any of our products are safe to a consumer with a nut allergy. Should you have any critical illness, please consult with your medical professional before ordering our products.
All Pressed Juice Co juices and nut milks are certified Halaal by SANHA.
However all non-juice related products, i.e. soups are not Halaal certified.
